very nice question.
Actually it depends on your niyyat. If your intention is that you are growing beard as a sunnat then you will get sawab for this. But if it is for fashion or any medical benefit then you will not get that.

So you don’t need to shave it to grow your beard. If you have complete beard or you only have 10 hairs and you leave them to complete the sunna then you will get full reward for this. As Allah look to your intention.

If you don’t have beard naturally then it is not your fault but Allah will give you the deed for your intention.
